I'm interested in the stories hiding inside culture.

I'm finishing a Drama and English Literature degree at the University of Manchester, and most of what I make sits somewhere between the page, the microphone and the screen. I write features about music, film and the internet; I research, script and present a culture podcast; I've written a screenplay and worked on student film sets as an assistant director.

The thread running through all of it is the same curiosity: why a song lands the way it does, why a scene stays with you, what a piece of internet ephemera says about the people sharing it. I like reporting that takes young audiences seriously, and I like production work that makes room for other people's ideas to actually happen.

Right now I'm looking for work in entertainment journalism, audio and creative production — places where research, taste and a bit of nerve are treated as the same skill.
